Introduction
The Prince's Club was the forerunner of The Queen's Club London, previously host to the Stella Artois international tennis tournament. The first home of the sports rackets and real tennis and run as a private members club in the exclusive area of London Knightsbridge, the Prince's Club was founded by brothers George and James Prince in 1870.
The club was moved down the road to West Kensington in 1885 to form The Queen's Club under the patronage of the Queen.
The Queen's Club
Born from the Prince's Club, The Queen's Club was the first multipurpose sporting complex, named after the club patron Queen Victoria.
The Queen's club is renowned as one of the premier Lawn tennis and rackets clubs in the world: with 28 outdoor tennis courts, 8 indoor courts, 2 rackets courts, 2 real tennis courts and 3 squash courts. It has hosted football, rugby and cricket matches and the multipurpose sporting facilities have been extensively used over the years.
Previously the host of the world famous Stella Artois Championship, the ATCO world squash masters and the British Open Rackets Finals, the Queens Club is now the home of the Tennis and Rackets Association.
Recently The Queen's Club has been bought back by the members from the LTA for £35m. The LTA have moved their headquarters to the new purpose built tennis development at Roehampton.
The Prince's Club, Agadir
The Prince's Club is the realisation of the combined dream of a group of Rackets playing members of The Queen's Club. Ashley Lloyd-Jennings, the co-founder of the British clothing label Hackett, is working with the Guards Polo Club on bringing a truly international jet setting polo club to the quartier, enveloping the Prince's Club with lush polo playing fields to create a beautifully landscaped destination.
Agadir is the perfect destination for a sporting holiday with glorious weather and an estimated yearly average of three hundred and thirty days of sunshine. The backdrop of stunning mountains, miles of white sandy beaches and great Atlantic surfing coastline make Agadir a world renowned destination.
The Prince's Club is set in National Forestry land that has been carefully planned to preserve the natural vegetation and beauty of the region. The Stade d'Agadir is a symbolic stadium just metres away from the grounds of the club and enhances the stunning views of the mountain villages in the distance.
